The 56th Annual Holiday Parade has been cancelled due to weather

To Our Wonderful Community,

It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the cancellation of the 56th Annual Holiday Parade that was scheduled for December 10, 2022 at 4pm due to the forecast of severe weather this weekend. This was an incredibly difficult decision for us to make considering all the time, effort, and resources that to into planning the Holiday Parade. The weather poses too great a risk to the participants and spectators, and the hundreds of workers and volunteers that would need to operate in these conditions.

Everyone that we have spoken to over this week has been exceptionally patient and understanding. Words cannot express our gratitude to everyone who has worked so hard on this year’s parade. We especially want to thank our generous sponsors who have given so much and whose contributions have been invaluable to us and our mission. Thank you to the City of Woodland and our Title Sponsor Waste Management; our Division Sponsors Pacific Coast Producers, Corner Drug Company, the Holiday Inn Express, Dr. James P. Zimmerman D.D.S., F.A.G.D., Fairfield Inn & Suites, and Woodland Electrical Inc.; Consumer’s Guide and The Daily Democrat for your media partnership; our Supporting Sponsors Jim Hilliard State Farm Insurance, Travis Credit Union, ARM Multi-Insurance, Butterfield Electric, Printer’s Inc., Valley Clean Energy, Van Beurden Insurance, Animal Care Clinic of Woodland, Western Health Advantage, and Yolo Food Bank; and our Associate Sponsors Laugenour & Meikle, Lawson Property Management, Rose Colored Glass and our local Cub Scout Packs 166, 499, and 1932, Ullrich Delevati, CPAs, WSR Insurance, Yolobus, Yolo Federal Credit Union, and Wally Sheffield.

Your support and the support of our incredible community in Woodland means the absolute world to us. We promise to continue working to provide outstanding service to everyone in our community and beyond. We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and we look forward to the return of the Woodland Holiday Parade.

With the deepest gratitude,

The Woodland Chamber of Commerce
